
This dessert, made with only fruit and no refined sugar, will warm you up on cold days.
Whatever fruit you have at home—shriveled, cracked, or starting to spoil—get it on the counter right away. Of course, it works even if the fruit isn’t too old 😀
I always make it with quince and apple. Yesterday I made it with just apple. I slice the fruit. I squeeze the juice of 1 sweet orange and 2 sweet mandarins and add them. They cook in that juice. I add 4 cloves and 1 cinnamon stick. When the apples soften (which happens very quickly), I turn off the heat. There was still orange juice left at the bottom, I didn’t let it reduce. Then, when serving, I drizzled that juice over the apples, it was really delicious 🥰
In the photo above, I put tahini and walnuts on top. In the photo on the right below, the tahini and walnuts are still there, with yogurt underneath. It turned out to be something like a super meal.
