Sematos - Meşhur Cipsin Rakibi

Doritos, your biggest rival has arrived, Sematos 😍

Everyone knows about my love for chips by now. The only thing I dream about and crave in this life is the chips I used to eat every night, but which ruined my health. My favorites are Salt & Vinegar (which isn’t available in Turkey, thank goodness 🙈), and Doritos. One brand has it, but I wouldn’t eat it even when I was eating the worst. You know, the kind where all the chips look the same, you get the idea 🙈, they’re not even potatoes), and Doritos. This time, I really came close to Doritos. Or let’s say it cut me off. Of course, it’s not the same taste, but it gave me the same feeling.

– I soaked 3 tablespoons of chia seeds in 6 tablespoons of water. – I soaked 3 tablespoons of ground flax seeds in 6 tablespoons of water. Then I mixed the two. If you don’t have either, 6 tablespoons of chia seeds or 6 tablespoons of flax seeds will do. -I added 1 teaspoon of super spicy chili paste 🔥 My Gaziantep blood was boiling. Those who prefer can add mild chili paste or tomato paste instead. -I didn’t skimp on the spices. I added plenty. I have homemade Cajun seasoning (recipe here), 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1.5 teaspoons of onion powder. Instead of the powders, you can also use 1 clove of garlic and 1/2 dry onion, blend them well in a food processor until homogeneous, and then add them. You can use any spices you like according to your taste. -I also added salt and mixed everything together.

You can find the preparation steps in my Instagram post.

I spread the dough very thinly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, wetting my hands as I did so. Thinness is essential for crispness. The thinner, the crispier.
I baked it in a 150-degree turbo/fan oven. I turned it off and didn’t take it out until it was crispy. They became really crispy. I finished half of it in one day. I can’t resist, it’s legendary! 😍

Wishing everyone happy, sugar-free, healthy weeks.

With love,

Sema
