Now you might find some cute, healthy, but slightly more “fun” treats like this! 😍
If you want to see how it’s made, you can find videos in my Instagram post.
Rice wrappers are sold in all major supermarkets. You can check the Far East section in supermarkets.
In a shallow dish (I have a non-stick pan I don’t use for cooking, it was a gift, so I put them in there), we hold the wrappers in room temperature water for 2-3 minutes. Then we spread them out on the counter, fill them, and roll them up. I rolled them with red cabbage, arugula, and lentils cooked with various spices.
Anything and anything works. Thinly sliced carrots, steamed vegetables, grilled fish, chicken, hummus, whatever you like. Just fill them up and roll them up! 😀
They have no taste, almost neutral. They have a sticky texture. There’s almost no carbohydrate or rice in one wrapper. The content is just rice and salt. I love them.
Some people cook them after wrapping them like this, but I didn’t like the cooked version. I love them this way. You could try it this weekend, I think. The creativity in the filling is up to you 😊
For example, our menu tonight is vegetable burgers. I’m improvising as usual. If we like it, the recipe will follow. 😀
