Last year in Budapest, I ate and loved purple cabbage, and then I came back home and wanted to tell you about it. It makes such a wonderful side dish. I’m not sure if this is the exact recipe, but I achieved the same taste as the one I ate there through trial and error. Purple cabbage doesn’t always have to be eaten in salads, right? I think it’s one of the most delicious vegetables in the world 💜

* I finely chopped 1 medium purple cabbage.

* In a wide pan, I sautéed 1 red onion in olive oil. Then I added the chopped purple cabbage and sautéed a little more.

* I grated 2 apples and added them as well.

* I added 1 cup of water and cooked it over low heat.

* Finally, I added 2 tablespoons of vinegar, squeezed half a lemon, added salt, and that was it! I topped it with walnuts, and it really, really tasted delicious. I love it so much that I eat it by the spoonful like a meal.
