I think we’ll all start buttoning up our shirts and calling him “Mr. Celery.” Celery has never tasted this good. Last night at 00:30, before going to sleep, I decided to make this. Today I went all out and the job is done… We’ll be addicted to this this winter, for sure. Come on, my friends, I have things to tell you.
I grated one large celery stalk.

I grated 2 medium potatoes and squeezed out the excess water.
I added 1 cup of grated cheese (it can be made without cheese for those on a lactose-free or vegan diet).
I added 1 tablespoon of clotted cream; it wasn’t in my plan, but when I opened the refrigerator, I saw my husband had bought some. I couldn’t resist adding it. Otherwise, I had planned to add 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
Salt, sweet paprika powder, garlic powder (or 1 clove of crushed garlic), black pepper.
I mixed everything together and kneaded it.

I greased the bottom of the pan. I pressed the mixture into the pan with my hands, creating a flat surface.

I cooked the bottom for about 10 minutes. Then I preheated the oven to 170 degrees Celsius to brown the top. It stayed in the oven for 15-20 minutes and came out perfectly delicious.

Meanwhile, there was too much mixture in the pan. Just a little bit was left over. I rolled it into patties and cooked them on the stove in the pan, flipping them over to cook both sides. They turned out great that way too.

Meanwhile, the mixture can also be baked in a baking dish lined with parchment paper at 170-180 degrees Celsius without needing the oven-to-stomach cycle. I think that would take about 40 minutes. I preferred this version because it’s faster.

It tasted absolutely amazing! Please, please try it… I fell in love today. My love’s name is Celery Man.
Celery Man, celery, healthy vegetable, vegetable
I loved it so much that I later made a quick version.
The recipe is exactly the same, but without potatoes and cooked in a toaster oven.
I prepared the same mixture without potatoes. I didn’t have much time. I spread the mixture on parchment paper and put it in the toaster oven. It didn’t even take 15 minutes to cook, and it was legendary again 🙂 I ate it with yogurt and loved it 🙂
Note: I made the first version of Celery Man inspired by a Martha Stewart recipe.
