I made savory bread-like pastries that look like Turkish bread rolls (poğaça).
🌸 1 cup chickpea flour
🌸 1 cup almond flour
🌸 1 egg
🌸 1/4 cup water
🌸 10 tablespoons olive oil
🌸 1 teaspoon baking powder
🌸 1 teaspoon mahlep (ground cherry kernels)
🌸 1 piece of goat cheese – optional. It’s delicious plain, or with olives, parsley, sun-dried tomatoes, etc.
If you don’t have almond flour, you can use another oily flour instead, following the consistency shown in the video at the link below. For example, you can grind sesame seeds, peanuts, sunflower seeds, or hazelnuts in a food processor to make flour. Sesame is my favorite, but I’m out of it now. These are the most suitable oily flour options. If you don’t have any of those, I recommend mixing it with buckwheat or another flour and increasing the amount of olive oil. We follow the consistency shown in the link below. 🙂

I mixed everything together. There are tips for shaping in the video. I shaped them. They baked in a 150-degree oven with a turbo fan for exactly 30 minutes. It yielded 12-13 pieces.
Enjoy!
