Here’s the new version of lentil crackers! 🙂

I wanted crackers, but breakfast was almost ready, so I needed them urgently. I wondered if it would work, so I decided to try making them in a toaster oven. The result was an amazing cracker! For those who say, “I don’t have an oven, I can’t make crackers, or I don’t have time to wait for the oven,” here are crackers made in a toaster oven. We always have solutions! 😀 They were ready in a total of 15 minutes. Of course, you can still bake them in the oven if you prefer.

In my most talked-about lentil cracker recipe, the lentils were soaked in water overnight. Every time I made them, someone asked if it could be made with flour. Well, this one is made with flour. It turns out it works! 😀

If you want to check out the consistency, you can watch the video on my Instagram account.

– 4 tbsp red lentil flour

– 2 tbsp tarhana (Turkish dried soup mix)

– 4 tbsp olive oil, a pinch of salt

– I didn’t measure the water, but I think it was about 1/2 cup; you can adjust it according to the consistency.

I mixed it. I spread it on parchment paper with a spatula. I wasn’t sure if it would stick to the toaster. (Of course, using parchment paper in a cast iron toaster is a different matter, but I couldn’t risk my crackers sticking.) Then I closed the toaster, and it cooked until crispy on both sides.

It works without tarhana, or with other flour. You can add cheese, all sorts of spices, sun-dried tomatoes. I’m leaving the idea here; it’s up to you to develop and diversify it. As a couple who love crispy things, we absolutely adored it. 😀

If you bake it in the oven, I think it will cook in 30 minutes at 170 degrees Celsius with both top and bottom heating elements on.

Wishing everyone a healthy, happy, and sugar-free week.
