I used to love fried cauliflower with eggs so much, but it’s been a long time since I stopped eating fried food, so I developed this recipe a while ago. It became one of my favorite things to eat every winter. Actually, the concept is the same as Crispy Eggplant Sticks. That was a summer favorite, and these are a winter favorite 🙂
Last week, my Instagram account was flooded with this recipe. I honestly don’t remember how many people tried it. So I decided to give it a permanent place here too.

I separate the cauliflower into small florets and steam them very briefly. Maximum 5 minutes. Not too soft, because if they get too soft, they lose their crispness.
In a bowl, I whisk together 1 egg and 2-3 tablespoons of milk.

In another bowl, I mix cornmeal, breadcrumbs, or another healthy flour with spices like garlic powder, salt, and pepper. The spices are up to your preference.
I coat the cauliflower florets first in egg, then in the flour mixture, and spread them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

I brush or spray olive oil on top and bake it in a 180-degree oven until golden brown on both sides. I think it’s ready in 20-25 minutes. Keep an eye on it. It’s ready when it’s crispy.
I absolutely love eating it dipped in garlic yogurt or hot sauce 😍 Please try it, I’m sure you’ll love it. The copper pot is a memento from my late grandmother. I remember her heating milk in this pot so well 💗
