These cakes rose so much they turned into fairy chimneys! So, this cake is called Fairy Chimney Cake! ☺️
- 3 small eggs
- 2 tbsp poppy seed paste
- 1 tbsp coconut flour
- 1 tsp baking powder and a pinch of salt
- I mixed them, poured them into paper cupcake liners, and baked them. I baked them in an air fryer. They cooked in 13 minutes at 180 degrees. In a regular convection oven, they cook in 25 minutes at 160 degrees.

You can use any flour you like. If you change the flour, you’ll definitely need to increase the amount. The main ingredient in this recipe is poppy seed paste. There’s no exact substitute, but you can make it with tahini while maintaining the same consistency. In that case, you’ll also need to increase the flour. You can find the consistency video at the link below:

If you omit the salt and add a handful of chopped raisins, 1 tablespoon of pureed dried mulberries, or 2-3 dates, you’ll have a lightly sweet cake. 🤗
Also, I’ve been making this like pancakes in a pan for years, and it’s delicious too. It’s a functional and very filling recipe that can be both sweet and savory 😀
Enjoy!
