Fasulyeli Nohutlu Salata

Hi everyone,

I love this aspect of getting up early. I can get a lot done before the hustle and bustle of work begins. This is the result of yesterday morning.

I decided to prepare the green beans because I’d bought them quite a while ago. I didn’t have time to cook. Besides, I really love green beans, raw or just sautéed. I even eat some raw while I’m cleaning them 😃

-I cleaned the green beans and steamed them.

-At the same time, I was boiling chickpeas, to stock up. I boil 1 kilo of chickpeas, put them in bags, and freeze them. They’re a lifesaver later. The chickpeas were already boiled. I love warm, freshly boiled chickpeas. When I was little, when my mother boiled them, I would add salt and eat them right away. I wanted to finish them all. Every time I have freshly boiled chickpeas, I go back to my childhood and come back again. I set aside a bowl of those too; I didn’t put them in the freezer.

-Then, at lunchtime, I sautéed both my beans and chickpeas in two separate pans for 2 minutes in seasoned olive oil.

-I added olive oil to the pans, and then added my “favorite spice blend” to the beans and my homemade “Cajun seasoning” to the chickpeas.

I flipped them both briefly in the pans, then stacked them on top of each other on a plate. Believe me, it was a fantastic flavor. The tastes complemented each other perfectly. I think beans always deserve this chance, I recommend you try it 🙂

Wishing everyone a healthy, happy, sugar-free day.

With love, Sema
