I can’t resist when I see overripe, blackened bananas at home. I have to do something with them right away. The other night, just as I was about to go to bed, I noticed some blackened bananas on the kitchen table. I was going to put them in the freezer to add to smoothies, but then an idea struck me. I normally love eating bananas coated in cocoa, and I love frozen bananas too. So I said, let’s combine them and create Voltron! 🙂
You know that mosaic cake from one ice cream brand? Believe me, it turned out even better than that. No baking, no fuss, no dairy, no refined sugar, but the flavor is amazing. What more could you want? 😍
Ingredients:
* I mashed 6 very ripe, local bananas. 3 large bananas would also work.
* I added 1 tablespoon of raw cocoa powder. Any cocoa powder will do.
* I had brown rice puffs at home. I used 1.5 cups of that, but 1 cup of finely chopped hazelnuts or almonds would also work, or 1/2 cup of finely chopped oatmeal.
Everyone who tried it with these options on Instagram said theirs turned out great.
I mixed all the ingredients. I cut a freezer bag and flattened it. I poured the mixture in and used the bag to shape it into a long, thin shape. I covered it with the bag. I put it in the freezer. My husband and I have been eating it like crazy since yesterday. My husband wants it every day now 🙈 I think dried coconut would also go very well with it. The options are endless. You can add many things depending on your taste and ingredients. It tastes amazing, absolutely amazing 😍
Summer is coming. For those who want ice cream, and for kids, it’s ready in a snap…
