No one should miss out on eating okra! Run, run! All the excuses are gone: it’s hard to clean, it gets slimy when cooked, the kids don’t eat it, etc., etc. All those excuses are over. Even my husband, who used to say “I’d rather eat shoes than okra,” competed with me to finish his plate.
He ate half of my dinner and I’m hungry now… My husband kept saying it was perfect. I can’t believe my eyes.
We wash the okra, mix it in a bowl with olive oil, 1/2 lemon juice, salt, and garlic powder. Fresh garlic works too. Other spices work as well. We mix it and put it in a 180-degree turbo oven; it’s ready in 20 minutes. Then we eat it with relish, like cracking sunflower seeds 😍 I’m going to make this in a day or two, coating it in flour like I did with eggplant 😊 I think that will be amazing too 🤤
Hundreds of people have made this on Instagram. So many people who had never tasted okra before have eaten it… I think we should make it 3 times a week before its season ends 🙂
NOTE: The original recipe belongs to my dear friend @ozlemledoyasiyayasamak.
