Honestly, I’m starting to get sick of cooking for every meal 😬 Does this happen to you too? This time I made extra, I said I’d eat the same thing for 3 days. It turned out to be such a delicious vegetable and chickpea patty, I could eat it for 13 days, not just 3! 😍
You should make extra of this, shape it, and freeze it. It’ll be a wonderfully delicious meal on hand anytime. And it’s so easy. 🌸 2 cups cooked chickpeas
🌸 1 small grated celery stalk
🌸 1 grated carrot
🌸 Salt, cumin, coriander, garam masala (an Indian spice blend, available in large supermarkets, optional)
🌸 1 clove of garlic
🌸 1 egg white and 3 tablespoons buckwheat flour (I tried it without egg and flour, it fell apart while cooking in the pan. It was perfect when I added the egg and flour. If you want to check the consistency, you can look at the recipe on my Instagram account. If you don’t want to add an egg and you don’t have a gluten problem, I think the gluten will bind with the flour. For example, if you add 3 tablespoons of spelt or whole wheat flour, it seems like it would hold together even without an egg, you can adjust it according to the consistency.
Except for the egg and flour, I processed everything in a food processor. I saw that it was falling apart, so I added the flour and egg.
I kneaded it and got the perfect meatball consistency. I greased my hands and shaped them. I cooked them in a pan greased with olive oil over low heat.
The taste is really great. Beautiful. And a colorful salad to go with it. 😊
This plate kept me full for hours. I ate it at 3:30 PM. I’m feeling a little hungry now, but I’ll have some tea or water and finish the evening 😊
Wishing everyone healthy, happy, and sugar-free days.
With love,
Sema
