Hamileliğe Hazırlık

This week, I shared this topic on Instagram, and since it received so much interest, I wanted to bring it to the blog so you can always access it. There’s a long video about it on Instagram; you can read it here if you’d like.

‘I’m preparing my body for pregnancy.’

‘I’m preparing myself for pregnancy.’

‘I’m planning a baby in 3 months; I’ve started taking better care of myself.’

I receive emails like this. And I receive all of them from women. My dear fellow women, I know you’re very stressed trying to get pregnant. There’s something I want to emphasize about this; please don’t shoulder this alone. It won’t work if you’re drinking wheatgrass juice while your partner is eating chocolate and drinking cola. In unexplained infertility, everything is 50/50. Sperm is the outward manifestation of what’s inside. Did you know that in IVF centers, with the new generation, they can’t even select one healthy sperm out of millions taken from a single man? Please don’t take on this responsibility alone. Why? Because you’re in this together, both mentally and physically.

So where do we begin?

We’ll start with our instincts. Reproduction, eating, drinking, sleeping… These are things that enable us to continue our lives, things that humanity has instinctively repeated since its existence. We can only survive in this way. These are instincts; we don’t need to learn them from anyone. But what happened that caused such a significant increase in infertility and inability to conceive in the last 50-70 years? What changed that “reproduction,” which is as natural as eating, going to the toilet, and sleeping, became so complicated? There are many reasons for this. The most important is nutrition. Our diet has changed dramatically in the last 50-70 years; the things we eat and drink have deteriorated significantly. We started consuming incredible amounts of processed food.

When we look at the human body and its functioning as a whole, hormone health, the health of our cells, our acidic pH level, our inflammation level… all of these are factors in the formation of a new cell, the formation of a new embryo. And as I always say, this happens with two people; not just one person. What we need to do is to revert our eating and drinking habits as much as possible to what they were 100 years ago. At the very least, give up all those packaged foods. Chocolate, wafers, processed bread, white refined carbohydrates, sugar and sweets, alcohol and cigarettes… Please, I’m saying this for men too; it’s very important. It’s very difficult for an embryo to develop from sperm that has consumed alcohol and cigarettes. So please, start here. I know, maybe it’s hard to break habits; but we’ll start here. I see now; 10-year-old children drinking ‘ice tea’. How can you expect the sperm of a boy who constantly drinks this and constantly eats ‘chocolate’ to be healthy? It’s impossible. Because our body produces what we call sperm. If the food going in isn’t good, the sperm that comes out isn’t of good quality either.

Let’s look at it from another perspective, from the woman’s point of view. For healthy reproduction and proper blood flow to the uterus, insulin levels need to return to normal. That means fasting insulin should be 5 or below. It’s necessary to give up white carbohydrates, sweets, colas, and sodas; and to satisfy your hunger with plenty of vegetables, good quality protein, legumes, and nuts. You can also satisfy your sweet tooth with a few pieces of fruit if you really want to.

This is the entire type of nutrition we’re going to adopt. As you can see, it’s not about the powder of this, the leaf of that, or this and that from the mountaintops; I’m saying, “You must return to the essence.” We will return to the most natural, the most essential nutrition. We have no other choice but to return here. Actually, let’s not just think of this nutrition for reproduction. You can think of this nutrition for everything, for every autoimmune disorder. Because all of these actually originated from autoimmune disorders. Were there autoimmune disorders 50 years ago? They arose from excessively processed food, bad seeds, poorly practiced agriculture, and the overuse of pesticides/poisons. With so many chemicals and agricultural residues in it, it’s impossible for the body to function healthily. And in an unhealthy, unsafe body, it’s impossible for a new life to grow.

Another aspect of this issue is what we call stress management. Stress is a part of our lives. It’s impossible to eliminate this stress from our lives, for example, by quitting our jobs, moving to the top of the mountains, etc. So what are we going to do? We’ll look at how we can minimize the damage this does to our bodies. There are many techniques for this; we don’t need to overcomplicate things. Engaging in a hobby, taking a break from screens, avoiding excessive exposure to negativity… Taking walks outside is very beneficial for blood circulation, and constant movement is especially good for uterine health in women. Taking up hobbies you enjoy, practicing meditation and yoga are also good options. Ultimately, it’s necessary to control stress in some way. When our bodies are constantly under stress, in ‘fight-or-flight’ mode, a suitable environment for reproduction cannot be created. Our bodies need to be in a parasympathetic state, that is, at rest and in a peaceful state. I know it’s very stressful, you experience a breakdown every month, and this is very difficult for you. But take these steps, try it this way for a while. Because this is where we’re going to start. First, we’ll return our bodies to their factory settings.

I hope everyone gets what they wish for, if it’s for their good. And finally, I want to say this; because that’s also very important in this matter.

With love to all of you,

Sema
