This is the natural deodorant I’ve been using for months. I’ve tried so many natural deodorants over the years, but none of them quite satisfied me. They just weren’t enough at some point. This was my solution 🙂

I’m wary of coconut oil deodorants. Coconut oil has a long-term risk of clogging pores, which is definitely undesirable for underarms. Most of the ones on the market contain coconut oil, and I’ve had problems with them, especially when I exercise a lot. The ingredients are very similar to my usual face cream. You could buy those ingredients once, have a party at home, and spend your get-togethers with friends making natural cosmetics – it’s fun! 😊 And you get to share the ingredients too! 😊

✨ 30 gr shea butter, which I already have from making cream 🙂

✨ 10 gr beeswax

✨ 20 gr cocoa butter – you can buy this once and use it for both deodorant and chocolate making 😉 Kill two birds with one stone. Chocolate making instructions are in my Nutty Chocolate post.

✨ 20 grams of baking soda – this is already in the kitchen

✨ 20 drops of lavender – this is from making the cream (She recommended star sage and geranium, but I used lavender)

We melt cocoa butter and beeswax together in a double boiler (just like I showed in the video for making the cream). In another bowl, we melt shea butter in a double boiler and add baking soda. We mix quickly and thoroughly. Before the baking soda settles, we add the lavender oil. We add this mixture to the cocoa and beeswax mixture that we melted in the other bowl, and transfer it to a jar. That’s it! 😍 It’s very simple and incredibly economical. It has a firm consistency when it solidifies. I take a small spoonful, soften it for 2 seconds with the warmth of my hand, and apply it. There’s no problem with it absorbing or staining clothes. It provides amazing protection. I’ve been using this tiny jar for 3 months and it’s not even half empty yet. This recipe makes two jars like this, so it will last a year.

Especially mothers with teenage daughters, please, please don’t use classic deodorants. Start your daughters with these. Adults can start with these too. After two years of trying natural deodorants, this is the best one for me 👌🏻
