Hello everyone with my beloved banana chocolate chips 🙂 I’ve been going crazy with excitement since Thursday 🙂 I keep wanting to talk about my book, explain what I’ve written, and share the wonderful feedback you’ve given me, but at the same time, I need to get back to normal life and my posts, right? 😊 You know how people who are newly in love always talk about the person they’re in love with? Well, right now I just want to talk about my book…
On Friday night, I was so excited all day that my hyperactivity went through the roof and I couldn’t sleep. I went into the kitchen at 12 AM and cooked until 2 AM. This is one of the 12 AM creations because it’s so simple and so delicious 😊 These chocolate chips are derived from the Flour Halva recipe I shared before. They’re so easy and delicious that it was the first time I made them when I had overripe bananas at home. A friend messaged me recently saying, “Sema, these turned out great, we think of you every time we make them.” I said, “I should remind you of this again, and let it be our book celebration dessert.” I also put some on my evil eye-shaped plate 😊
Ingredients
* 2 local bananas or 1 large banana
* 3 tablespoons tahini
* 3 tablespoons coconut flour (some people have tried using oat flour and oatmeal in a food processor, it works but you need to increase the amount. If you do that, I recommend adding 1 tablespoon of dried coconut)
* 1 tablespoon carob extract or molasses, honey
* Cocoa for coating
We knead everything except the cocoa. It becomes a soft, slightly sticky dough. You can taste it; if it’s not sweet enough, you can increase the liquid sweetener. Since I like it only slightly sweet, this is enough for me. We wet our hands and make balls. Then we coat them in cocoa. That’s it, done! 😄 Because it doesn’t contain any animal products, it keeps in the refrigerator for days.
I’m going for a walk first, and then I’ll visit the D&R bookstores on the street again. I feel like a mother who’s abandoned her children if I don’t go there every day. If anyone asks, just say I’ve gone beautifully crazy 🙂
